Anger is a natural part of the human condition, but it isn't easy to handle.  And when people don't handle it well, the harm they do isn't always visible.

Some people mask their anger- they say things like "I never get angry" or "I didn't mean to spoil your plans, I just forgot." Others explode with rage, sometimes to "defend" themselves or to pressure others into doing what they want.  For still others, anger is a chronic condition, a habit of resentment that surfaces over and over again.

Authors Ron and Pat Potter-Efron have identified ten anger styles- the most common ways that people express or disguise anger, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses.  Through revealing self-tests and real-life examples, readers learn how to recognize their own style (or combination of styles) and what they can do if they feel stuck in that style.  Their techniques are for anyone who wants to learn to express anger in healthy and productive ways.
