| Excerpt from Introduction "Amanda, you're acting like a two year old. What's wrong with you?" Sound familiar? Sure, Amanda had tantrums when she was two. She even had them when she was five. But why now? Isn't she old enough to control herself? If not now, when? Before we continue, let's face facts: It's not easy being a child at any any. It's not easy being a parent of any age child. There's no magic time when children become reasonable, well-controlled almost adults. This is true for small kids, middle-year children, and teenagers. Children are different than adults-they think differently, act differently, and, above all, they cannot control their feelings like adults. |
